Sorry for anyone who has viewed the guestbook recently, just to see a load of nonsense messages on it. Obviously there are some really sad, pathetic cretins in this world who think it is clever to hijack guestbooks and fill them full of unreadable crap!

I will try and edit it more regularly from now on, but back on track at the moment.

Very special news....after many years of searching I found the acoustic guitar from Burg Rabenstein, which now is exposed in "The First Blackmores Night Museum Of The World" (since 2006)...Ritchie played it in 1998-1999...now I have 2 RB guitars...best greetings to all BN friends all over the world, esp. to Jerry "Never Give Up" Bloom!

Hi Jerry,

Just finished "Black Knight". I had great fun with it!! Many anecdotes and an interesting and fairly objective look at one of the greatest rock guitarist of all time.

I'm a Purple fan from 1987 on.

I recognise the episode of the Blackmore's Night concert in Belgium where they made us wait 1.30h under the rain. Fortunately, the next concert in Antwerpen, in 2003, was much better.

Great site but lets get rid of the weirdos and read comments from genuine Ritchie Blackmore fans. Hopefully looking forward to seeing Blackmore's Night next year in the UK which will round of a Blackmore trilogy for me: I saw Deep Purple at the NEC in Birmingham in 1993 (that infamous one) and Rainbow at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1996

Keep up the good work

Hopefully the weirdos have now been blocked. The editor

Dear friends,
I am very proud to announce the opening of the first Ritchie Blackmore unauthorised museum of the world in Nuremberg, Germany.
In this very special room can be found many special objects from the earth life of the Black Maestro (Maître noir, Magician etc.), including one black “Takamine” signed from Himself and the visualized ghost of the Maestro, and many others….every visitor obtains a bottle of special Franken beer “Leikeim” (the best in the world!) for immediately drinking, a picture with the host and a tour through the kingdom. As urologist I am proposing to all male visitors after
40 Y. an urology cancer check without payment (15 min. equals 80 EURO) if they promise to get MBTP for an year. Proooost!

I was in a supermarket in Nice, France last week during my holiday when I suddenly heard a familiar tune over the supermarket radio: Smoke on the Water !! It wasn't Deep Purple with that classic Ritchie riff but a latin band with orchestral instruments!! It sounded really cool. The riff sounded as if it was played by a trumpet or something like that. I don't even know if it was a French band covering it. Anyway, you can't escape the smoke no mater where ya go !!!

Ritchie and Candice came here in Rome last 13th of September. They performed all the Village Lanterne stuff, and many other songs, with a Smoke on the Water played entirely on the acoustic guitar and singed by the crowd... fantastic. I'm waiting for the next gig, wherever in Europe.
Great site, keep up!

Great site, very informative, i have to admit to prefering Purples earlier stuff, the recent stuff just doesnt do anything for me, Steve Morse is a good guitarist but he's not in the same league as Blackmore.

Great site!! My first album in 1973 was Machine Head and since then I've been a huge Blackmore fan, except for the '80s albums with Rainbow. Tough I loved his playing then I could never quite figure out Joe Lynn, who the hell goes by the name Joe Lynn? Anyway, I wish there were some unreleased Raindow tracks from the '70s out there. Just the new Purple book and have ordered Rainbow Rising to read. Look forward to the Munich DVD and more from MBtP. Cheers.
